Before any of that, Josh served in the U.S. Army from 2003 to 2008. GenioSys is a veteran-owned business — and the discipline, systems thinking, and standards that define how it operates were set there.
GenioSys was founded by Josh Efigenio, who has spent more than 15 years inside the quality and manufacturing sector. His career began in 2008 in oil & gas inspection and progressed through a series of quality roles across the industry — work that built a deep, firsthand understanding of how manufacturing operations actually run.
That progression matters. Nobody walks into manufacturing and instantly understands it. The knowledge is layered — quality systems, operational exposure, engineering collaboration, the way technical teams are built and how they function under pressure. Years inside the sector taught him what strong technical talent actually looks like, and where generalist recruiters consistently get it wrong: misreading certifications, missing red flags, submitting candidates who look right on paper but can’t do the work.
In 2016, he moved into Talent Acquisition with one thesis: manufacturing companies deserve recruiters who understand the environment they’re hiring for — not from a textbook, but from having operated inside it.
GenioSys was founded in 2020. The mandate hasn’t changed: bring real industry understanding to how advanced manufacturing organizations build their teams. Engineers, quality and operations leaders, skilled trades — placed by someone who understands the work, the systems, and the people who do it well.
2026 is a rebrand, not a launch. New brand, new positioning, posted pricing, modernized platform. Same standard. Same understanding of the work.
